Organizations Overview

Note

Organizations are not yet available for self-service creation. To request an organization, open the support modal in the Doubleword Console and select Create organization request.

Organizations let teams share credits and usage data under a single account. When you create or join an organization, you get a shared workspace where all members can collaborate on batches, manage billing, and monitor usage together.

How Organizations Work

An organization acts as a shared account alongside your personal Doubleword account. Each member retains their individual account and can switch between personal and organization contexts at any time.

Key concepts:

  • Shared credit balance — The organization has its own credit balance, separate from each member's personal balance. All API usage and batch processing performed in the organization context is billed to the organization.
  • Organization API keys — Each member creates their own API keys within the organization context. These keys are individual to each member and are not shared with or visible to other members. However, all usage from these keys is billed to the organization’s credit balance, and the organization gets visibility into who made which requests.
  • Member roles — Each member has a role that determines what they can do within the organization:
    • Owner — Full control including managing members, billing, and settings
    • Admin — Can manage members, API keys, and resources but cannot change ownership
    • Member — Can create API keys, submit batches, and use the organization's resources

Switching Between Personal and Organization Context

You can switch between your personal account and any organization you belong to directly in the Doubleword Console.

  1. Click on your profile name in the bottom left corner of the console
  2. Select the organization you want to switch to from the dropdown
  3. The console will update to show the organization's resources, balance, and activity

When you're in an organization context:

  • Your balance display shows the organization's credit balance
  • API keys you create are yours individually but bill to the organization
  • Batches and files you submit are attributed to the organization
  • Your individual activity is still tracked for team visibility

To switch back to your personal account, click your profile name again and select your personal account.

Tip

All the workflows you already know — creating API keys, adding credits, uploading files, and submitting batches — work the same way within an organization. The only difference is that everything is shared with your team and billed to the organization's balance.
